CR Micro IGBT Overview

BeiLuo supplies genuine CR Micro IGBT devices built on the company's Trench Field-Stop platform, now in its seventh generation, together with PIM power modules that integrate the IGBT bridge and its freewheeling path. The Trench Field-Stop structure combines a trench gate for high channel density with a field-stop layer that thins the drift region, lowering both saturation voltage and turn-off loss without sacrificing ruggedness. CR Micro's IGBT portfolio covers 650 V to 1350 V blocking classes and current ratings from 5 A up to 187 A, with packages including TO-247, TO-247PLUS and the PIM module outline. The technology is aimed squarely at hard-switched power conversion: motor drives, inverters, welding equipment, induction heating, uninterruptible power supplies and solar inverters. For designers who prefer an integrated block, the CRGMP series PIM modules pair the Trench Field-Stop IGBT with a matched diode and bring the 1200 V-class bridge into one tested package, simplifying assembly and thermal design. Devices such as the CRGMP15T120DF1C3 and CRGMP25T120DF2C3 provide 15 A and 25 A three-phase modules for drives and power supplies. Every shipment includes import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS files, and BeiLuo's FAE team supports gate-resistor selection, dead-time and thermal design from first prototype to volume production.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I read the IGBT module table to shortlist a part?

Fix the voltage class from your DC bus in the VCES column, then narrow by IC for continuous current. The Circuit column tells you the bridge configuration and Package confirms the mechanical fit.

Filter by voltage and current first, then compare conduction and switching loss at your frequency.

When should I use a PIM module instead of discrete IGBTs?

A PIM module integrates the IGBTs, freewheeling diodes and isolation in one tested package, which shortens assembly, improves thermal coupling and reduces the parts count. Discrete devices suit flexible or cost-sensitive layouts.

Choose a module when assembly time, reliability and thermal consistency matter most.

Compare the IGBT modules

What do VCE(sat) and turn-off energy mean for my losses?

Conduction loss scales with VCE(sat) times current and duty cycle, while switching loss scales with turn-off energy and frequency. A lower VCE(sat) wins at high current and low frequency; lower turn-off energy wins at high frequency.

Estimate both at your operating point before choosing.

How should I design the gate drive for a PIM module?

Use a gate resistor matched to your dv/dt and EMI targets, add desaturation protection for short-circuit events, and keep the gate loop short with a dedicated emitter return. A negative gate supply helps prevent parasitic turn-on.

Our application note covers gate sizing, dead-time and protection.

How do I verify authenticity and what documents ship with the part?

Every CR Micro IGBT module is factory-traceable and ships with an import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS file. The datasheet downloads from each product page.
